Prue Tyler,
Senior Solicitor

Prue is a senior solicitor with experience in public law and commercial law, having previously worked at a boutique public law firm in Wellington, and more recently in both the Wellington and Auckland offices of one of New Zealand’s largest law firms.

Prue provides regulatory and legal advice across the telecommunications sector, which has included assisting the Solomon Islands Government in securing a settlement with the incumbent telecommunications operator to relinquish its exclusive telecommunications licence, and in establishing a new regulatory framework in Solomon Islands for a competitive telecommunications market.

Prue also acts for film financiers, advising on the contractual arrangements required under the New Zealand Film Commission’s SPIF criteria.

Prue has a wide range of commercial law experience, which includes providing general corporate advice to major publicly listed corporate clients, acting on mergers and acquisitions and securities offerings, and providing competition and strategic regulatory advice to clients in the electricity and telecommunication industries.

Prue joined the firm in September 2008, and has a particular interest in regulatory law and the telecommunications industry.

Prue is a mentor for the First Foundation
